It is insoluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, but soluble in benzene, acetone and ether.
Application
a.Triphenyl phosphate is mainly used as a flame retardant plasticizer for engineering plastics and phenolic resin laminates.
b. Triphenyl phosphate can also be used as a softener for synthetic rubber, a raw material for the manufacture of trimethyl phosphate, etc.
c.In addition, it can also be used as a flame retardant plasticizer for cellulose acetate, a fire-resistant solvent, synthetic resin, a wetting agent for roofing paper, and a camphor substitute for celluloid manufacturing, etc.
